IDEAL CANDIDATES
BodyTite may be beneficial for those who would like to see improved skin tightness and more dramatic contours in one or multiple regions of the body. You may be a great candidate for BodyTite if you would wish to reduce pockets of fat to enhance the appearance of loose, sagging, or wrinkled skin. Maybe you have considered a body lift surgery or traditional liposuction but are intimidated by the thought of surgical scarring and long recovery times. Many areas of your body can be treated with BodyTite; however, areas patients commonly choose to treat are the arms, stomach, chest, thighs, and knees. During your consultation, Dr. Brown will listen to your aesthetic goals and concerns before helping determine if BodyTite is best for you.
SURGICAL TECHNIQUE
The BodyTite procedure is generally performed using local anesthesia; however, general anesthesia can be used if you’re nervous or having multiple areas treated simultaneously. The specially designed BodyTite applicator is inserted just beneath the skin via a very small incision. The applicator has an external and internal thermometer to guard you against burns. Dr. Brown will use the applicator to liquefy and loosen the fat with radiofrequency energy so the fat is easy to remove from your body. The heat used during the fat elimination process will also tighten your connective tissue and skin for instant improvements. BodyTite procedures typically take around 30 – 45 minutes per treatment area. Several sessions could be required or recommended by Dr. Brown to provide your best possible outcome.
WHAT TO EXPECT
You’ll have to recover for 5 – 10 days following your BodyTite procedure. A compression garment will need to be worn on the treated areas to encourage healing while also holding your new contours. Some outcomes may be visible instantly; however, your final results won’t be apparent for several months when the inflammation and swelling are gone. Even though the fat that’s removed can’t grow back, the remaining fat can grow if you gain weight; therefore, it’s very important to keep a healthy, steady weight following your BodyTite procedure.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How much does BodyTite cost?
The cost of your procedure depends on many factors, including the size and number of areas being treated. To give you an accurate cost analysis, we ask you to schedule a consultation, during which we can assess your goals and concerns and determine the number of sessions that will be needed. At this time, a member of our team will be able to discuss costs and inform you of your payment options.
BodyTite or surgery?
BodyTite is an excellent option for a patient who wishes to receive dramatic results but is not quite ready for the downtime or scars that may accompany a lift surgery. However, lower body lifts, tummy tucks, etc., may be the best options for a patient who needs to remove significant skin and wishes for lasting and dynamic results.
What is radiofrequency?
Radiofrequency is a form of radio waves that consist of electric and magnetic energy controlled to deliver heat to an area of the body. The heat is controlled through safety-conscious thermometers that ensure our patients are not burned. During radiofrequency-assisted procedures, like BodyTite, the skin and fat tissues are warmed with the energy to attain body contouring results.
Is BodyTite safe?
BodyTite is an FDA-approved procedure that is considered safe and effective for healthy men and women. The procedure is minimally invasive in nature and does not require large incisions or a lengthy recovery period. In many cases, patients feel well enough to return to their daily activities within days of their treatments.
