These are long term follow up (>5 years) photos after his facial plastic surgery. He is a very fit and active man and enjoys being in the sun and resulting tan. If you look at the profile photos you can see how his scars do not tan. If he elected to grow his sideburns, it would be more difficult to see the scars.
