She has left breast cancer and is having her entire breast removed through the hole left from the areolar edge. Then she has had her back skin and muscle rotated into the breast defect and a breast implant that matched the volume of breast gland that was removed. The after breast reconstruction photos show retraction of the left breast because she has undergone radiation. Over time this retraction will soften to some degree.
